I know I have said it in person...over text...over email...but I really can’t thank you enough for all you did for me before and during my wedding day! You are a real life angel:so kind, generous, thoughtful and hard-working!! You went for above and beyond what I expected you to do and I will be forever thankful for that. You translated my vision even better than I could have imagined. I felt like an absolute Princess and will look at my wedding weekend photos for years to come, and will probably still marvel at my hair and makeup!

Hi Claire,
I couldn't leave for honeymoon without saying a MASSIVE thank you to you for yesterday. You were not only incredible when it came to the make-up for both me and my mum (and the bridesmaids too in the end!) but your fun and calming presence was a god-send throughout that nervy early part of the day. I loved the make-up which still looked incredible by the end of the night and it was so lovely of you to stay on at the chapel to help with the veil, touching up the make-up and sorting out a few last minute hair issues as well!!
 You really did go beyond the call of duty and it was a real pleasure having you there so thank you very much!
 Now, we're off on honeymoon to relax and enjoy the memories of what was a truly amazing day - we loved every minute of it!

'Talented, professional and kind ' - that pretty much sums up my view of Claire Hanson. I had a definite look in mind for my wedding last year and Claire worked with this. Using her considerable expertise, she made sure my make - up was defined enough for the photographs yet natural enough that I didn’t feel like I was wearing a mask. And she's an incredibly nice person to boot!
She did an amazing job with the hair and makeup and was also incredibly calm,I can’t thank you enough and have been singing your praises as a makeup artist to nearly everyone I meet!

Having worked with Claire for a few years in my role as a sports TV Producer, I knew there was only one person I would ever dream of asking to do my own make up for my wedding day. To my surprise she was available (she's a very busy lady), and from the moment we started discussing the look I wanted to go for, she was nothing short of inspirational in terms of suggesting what might work and how we'd put it together. Myself and my bridesmaids were invited to Claire's beautiful home in Oxfordshire -as she has her studio on the top floor -for a hair & make up trial and we had a lovely day, thoroughly worthwhile and great girly fun. I am so glad we went as I was keen to know the looks we'd discussed would work in advance of the big day. Claire was patient and listened to all of the ideas, we discussed the pallette and as my hair didn't grow quite quickly enough for the loose, side bun-style I'd so wanted to go for, she fixed the most natural-looking extensions imaginable and created exactly the look I'd wanted. She also tried a similar look on the bridesmaids, getting to know their hair and adapting the style according to very different hair types and the make up to very different complexions and colourings. It was a wonderful day for all of us, great fun but it also meant I was 100% comfortable that the look I'd hoped for on our big day could be realised with Claire's help.

On the big day itself, Claire was an absolute pleasure to have around, keeping me calm and helping with things well beyond what could ever be expected, she even helped me steam my dress! Claire is a wonderful, calming influence, a true professional (although I'm lucky enough to call her my friend) and none of the bridesmaids wanted to take their wedding make up off they loved it so much! I can't speak highly enough of Claire -she literally made my dream come true and my husband's reaction on the day is testament to that! Thank you Claire, for listening to what I wanted and for creating a gorgeous, natural look for all of us.

 “I found Claire through the Wedding Bible during one of my many searches online for suppliers and ideas in the run up to the big day.  The appeal of what I read was firstly Claire’s professional credentials but also what appeared to be a down to earth and professional approach. From the consultation and practice in Oxford through to the big day in Harrogate, Claire delivered a fantastic personalised service and absolutely took the time to understand what I, my maid of honour and my mum wanted to achieve.  On the day Claire did a wonderful job and stayed throughout the photographs to touch up as needed which was an unexpected “above and beyond”. Every bride wants to look her best and I think, with Claire’s magic touch, I really achieved this. The final added bonus is that I picked up some great make-up tips to suit my face which I still use now and will continue to do!!”

Wedding and Pamper Night (5th/6th August 2011)
Claire was recommended to me by my venue and as soon as I met her I knew I’d made the right decision. My trial at Claire’s studio was a wonderful experience. Claire was welcoming and friendly and open to try any of my ideas! I was so happy with the results and couldn’t wait for the wedding day. Claire and her excellent assistant Holly made fresh papaya and avocado face masks for our pre-wedding pamper night as well as giving me, the bridesmaids and the mother-of-the-bride manicures. It was the perfect ‘night before’ event, everyone felt excited and happy. It was the first time I’d seen my mum calm and relaxed for six months! Claire and her assistant arrived before 7am the next morning and set-up their studio in our conservatory! Everyone looked amazing and felt gorgeous. Claire’s calming personality and kind words kept me from tears in the morning and she and Holly stayed with me for the photos so I didn’t have to worry about my make-up and hair (especially as it started raining). I am so glad that Claire was part of my day. Any bride would be lucky to choose Claire as their hair and make-up artist on their day!
